Dad said he would teach me the Moon Walk in these!!
The second Ross left town last week for company meeting Jaxton decided to really start talking and hasn't stopped yet!! It started with Ba ba ba constantly and then went to a quiet ba ba ba to a LOUD BA BA BA. He starts out quietly then he sees how loud he really can say it even to the point he closes his eyes he is saying BA BA BA so LOUD!! It's hilarious!! I was in Target and he was sitting in the cart and just talking away the whole time we were in there and at times he got so loud I just had to laugh...there was NO WAY I was going to tell him to Shhhhh!! I love hearing his voice. This whole past week he has just talked and talked and talked all day long and he now is saying Ma Ma Ma Ma pretty consistently and we even have heard him say Da Da a couple of times in between the Ba Ba's! So since he is really trying to talk to us I attended a free class at Gymboree last Thursday for Baby Signs and we have decided to take the 9 week course. The other moms in there said it really works and leads to a lot less frustration when they are trying to tell you what they want.
Last week we walked in a few parks since the weather started off so beautiful and hung out with one of my best friends Cheri last Wednesday. They are moving to Dallas in 6-8 months :( BUT before then they are going to live out here by us since they sold their house all ready so I am really EXCITED about that. We can play all summer long together with the kiddos...YEA!!!!
For Memorial Day weekend we stayed in town and in between the rain storms we played in some pools that we bought Jaxton for the backyard and we went to our community pool AND to my sister's pool too!! My sister has a salt water pool so I didn't know how Jaxton would like that but since he likes the taste of his saline nose drops I figured it would be the same and what would you know....he liked it!!
On Saturday we met my sister and her husband with my Mom for dinner to celebrate my Dad this day since it has been 16 years since he died from brain cancer. Some days it seems like that was a whole entire different lifetime and some days it seems just like yesterday he was here. We miss his SO MUCH and now that I have had Jaxton it makes some days really hard. I know my Dad would of just adored him and would of had so much fun building him all kinds of forts and animal cages ( like he did for my sister and I)! We are just all very lucky we had such a great Father and Husband to remember and that is all that really matters!!
This past week I introduced Jaxton to cherries which were good but VERY TART so they definitely have to be mixed in another fruit and he tried CORN which he LOVED!!! Yea!! I also made the combination of Mango and Zucchini and he loved that too...thank goodness because it's very hard to get these little ones to like anything green!! But it does make their MoMo's turn blue-green!!! I tried some mashed avocado and I couldn't believe he didn't like it!! I will have to creative with this one!! That is one of the BEST foods anyone can eat as well as blueberries. This week we will try homemade Lamb and Asparagus! I think he is really getting tired of cereal!!
Even though Jaxton IS NOT crawling yet he sure is climbing all over everything!! He tries really hard to grab onto anything to pull himself up. Maybe he will just start walking and never crawl...we will just have to wait and see what he decides!!
BUT we lowered his bed all the way down just in case he decides to use the crib bumpers to pull himself up when we are not around...we had to lower it ALL the way since he is so tall !
I just can't believe how fast these little guys grow-up! It's amazing how much they change in just a short period of time!
