Crinkle Nose!!!

Well Jaxton has just been practicing so hard on how to say Ba Ba, Ma Ma, and some Da Da that now he just talks ALL THE TIME!! He for sure knows that I am his Mom-ma because he really only says it now when he wants me...THAT IS TRULY AMAZING!! He will reach his hands out for me to pick him up and say Mom-ma and not just Ma Ma anymore!! We better be careful what we say around him now!! He has also been making a few more sounds... one that sounds like a puppy looking for his mommy and then very low pitched sounds that escalate to high pitched sounds... guess he's testing out his vocal cords....hopefully he will be able to carry a tune when he gets older ( like his dad but SO unlike his mommy!!).

This past week was the first time he has refused several times to eat his food. The very first time he just stared at me and held his lips closed so tightly!!! I couldn't help but to laugh!! I figure he will eat if he is hungry! At lunch one day he gobbled up asparagus mixed with pears so I gave him asparagus with mango and bananas the next time and he ate that too...the lamb was a hit too BUT only with apples and corn! I tried turkey that I cooked with a little oregano and he was not too hot on that BUT I will try again since I cooked so much of it!! I cooked mashed potatoes for him but I think they were way too bland so I will have to serve them mixed with something else too! Oh well.....I guess it's all a guessing game right now!!

We started our Baby Sign Language Class last week and I'm excited to see if Jaxton picks it up. The teacher said by 10 months they should be doing some of the signs. She thought Jaxton would pick it up pretty quick since he was really paying attention and even trying to imitate her some!!! We will just have to wait and see!!

I took him to the Dr. on Thursday because he still had a slight rash all over his back from Memorial Day weekend. I figured it was from all the different pools and such. He really does have sensitive skin because I can just pick him up and he has my finger prints where ever I touched him....poor little guy...Sun Screen will be his best friend this summer!! Before we got to the Dr. I was trying to think of anything that could be the culprit of his little rash...and the only thing I could think of was that I laid him on a beach towel my sister had monogrammed for him a long time ago and I forgot to wash it first!!! She said that really could possibly be it or just heat rash. She said it was not at all from any new foods. So we left there knowing he would be okay BUT not sure what it was from. We did leave there knowing that he now weighs 19 pounds and 2 ounces. I will be very interested next month to see how tall he is!!
Jaxton got to play with his Grandma & Grandad all day on Thursday while Mommy went to her Dr. apt. Grandma even brought him some baby squash from her very own garden....YUMMY!!!
On Saturday Jaxton went to his friend Asher's 1st Birthday Party! His mommy had it set-up so great for all the babies! She had lots of toys and floats for the BIG POOL and then a tent set-up with lots of other baby pools for them too!! Then when it was lunch time she had so many highchairs for all the babies to have their lunch in! Asher ABSOLUTELY LOVED his cake and Jaxton was reaching for some BUT I am making him wait until his very own "1st Birthday"!
We went out on Saturday night with Grammy to a restaurant where there was a one man band ( he was actually pretty good ) AND AGAIN Jaxton just loved to sit there and watch him play and listen to the music. BUT when we got home he was so wired from all the fun that all he wanted to do was talk and make tooting noises with his mouth ...Geez!!

Well to end the weekend Ross played golf on Sunday with his buddy Grant who will be having a baby boy in a few months and Jaxton and I went to Kemah with Grammy for the day! Just to let you know how much fun he has going all kinds of places, a lady made the comment when she kept running into us and I was carrying Jaxton in the Bjorn Baby Carrier, " There is that dancing baby!" He is such a love!!!

Since June 1st is here my birthday MONTH has begun...YES...I did say MONTH!!! It has been a tradition of mine ever since I can remember that I celebrate for the entire month of June!! So we have lots of stuff planned!! Ross already gave me my birthday present which is a long weekend at LaCantera in San Antonio....I am SO EXCITED.... I just LOVE HOTELS ( especially nice ones ) and FUN Get-Aways!!!
