Weeks 21 & 22 !

Truck # 2 !!
Yo man... what are you giving up for LENT??

Mom, isn't that the preacher who married you and Dad?? Hurry...LOOK!!

Dad, I'm telling you that man over there married y'all....Will someone please look??!!

Do I really have to give up biting my fingers for LENT?? Okay..one more time!!!

At least she's not making me give up my most favorite toy..My Bouncer!! Monkey would miss me!!

See...I am so Happy in it!!

Mom..I think she is a little too OLD for me?? BUT she is PRETTY!!

Okay...I am getting to like this a little more every time you throw me in here...just keep my socks on because that floor is COLD on my toes!!

I can't decide what I want to do more...learn how to sit-up or just keep biting my fingers!

Fine...I'll bite your arm then Mom

Okay...I rather bite your finger than mine anyway!

Hold on Mom...we are trying to see if the Rockets won last night!

Okay...Bad Mommy Again...It's been two weeks since I have been able to catch up!! I am officially DONE with Pfizer now...they took it all away...samples, literature, years of study materials, and my car!! That is why I have not had a chance to sit down!!
So when I left you last we just got our new truck on Valentine's...WELL come to find out when I finally decided to drive it 2 weeks later ( I still had my company car ) I went into town with Jaxton to run some errands and boy did he hate the truck!! Way to bumpy...his little car seat toy that dangles across his seat was doing jumping jacks every time I hit a "LITTLE" bump and he kept trying to close his eyes but was awaken by a jolt from another bump!! I felt so sorry for him so after a "SHORT" talk with Ross we called our friend at the FORD dealership and thank heavens he was able to take it back and get us into an Expedition!! Jaxton REALLY likes it too...took a good long nap in it yesterday when we were running around!! :)

Last weekend my best friend I grew up with, Jason, brought his daughter,Lauren, over to meet Jaxton. They looked at each other and that's about it because they are a year apart BUT when they get a little older they will be runnin' buddies!

This week we took Jaxton to church for Lent and he just gazed at the pretty colors in the stained glass BUT when we were in the line to take communion the man behind me must have been making faces at him because all of a sudden Jaxton curled down his bottom lip and looked at me for help!! When I turned around the man had some really thick glasses on that made his eyes look 10 times bigger so I can see where Jaxton might have gotten scared!! Poor Baby!! Jaxton also got to meet Rev. Bob Johnson who married us!! Ross and I decided we were going to give up meat for LENT so I could really get back into my cooking ( which by the way I have been doing A LOT of and it has been turning out pretty darn good I might say for myself!!? ) BUT when I woke up the morning of Ash Wednesday and saw that Ross had eaten 3/4 of the King Cake ALL BY HIMSELF I sent him a URGENT text message saying, " Eat all the meat you want! WE are going to give up SWEETS instead!!

Jaxton is still eating his Oatmeal and now he is trying to take some in the morning and evening so we can gear up for when he is 6 months ( 2 more weeks!!). His gag reflex works very well we have come to find out on two different occasions!! Right after he has taken a whole bottle he has put his fingers so far down his throat ( because he's trying to suck on them so hard ) that his formula has come up like an overflowing toilet...now that's scary!! Luckily we were right there both times and were able to flip him over before he even knew anything happened!!

Well lots has been going on with Jaxton so I am just going to start at the top:
1. His hair seems to be really coming in more Strawberry than blonde...where is that coming from??
2. He has full head control now to the point where he tries to pull his head up when I am trying to cradle him in my arms..whah...my little baby is growing up!!
3. His poor little eye still waters all day and I even tried to put a tea bag on it since Kathrin told us it worked for her daughter..BUT it hasn't worked yet and Jaxton lays so still when I put it on there but turns his bottom lip under until I take it off!! :(
4. Don't know if I ever mentioned this one but Jaxton LOVES his ears cleaned with those new Q-tips for babies ( they won't allow it to go all the way into the ear )...AND when I have to use the bulb to clean his nose...he LOVES it when you can hear it suck the boogies out!!
5. When I am dressing him in the morning I will put lotion on his elbows and knees since they always seem so rough and when I do he does the biggest belly laugh! Tickle points??
6. Every week (if not more) I have to cut his nails because they grow so fast...and you would think as active as he is it would be hard to do...WRONG...he lays there really still and just stares at my face while I talk to him about what I am doing!
7. Okay...we have officially entered into the GRABBING stage...he is using his fingers so well now and wants to feel and grab everything!! So I have taken him outside and let him grab all the plants and tree leaves he wants to feel different textures. BUT the other morning he really liked the color of my coffee mug (red hearts) and tried to grab it too...thank goodness it was half full or it would have gotten all over him...so what I did instead was I finished my coffee and then put a little of his formula in it to see if he could drink it from a real cup ( I am going to introduce him to a sippy cup this week for fun so when it's time he will like it...the sooner the better they say!!) and what would you know?!...he drank about 10 very small sips until it was all gone!!
8. During bath time, when it's time to wash his bum bum...he gets a really big smile on his face and pulls his knees towards his chest with his hands so I can make sure I get it really clean...it's hilarious!!!

I am still swaddling him at night and I have a feeling this is gonna be the one thing I am going to have to wean him off of or he might just have to go cold turkey when he can no longer fit in the swaddle ( I think I will wait because he sure is sleeping good at night...I'm still trying to catch up on all those months of getting up every 2-3 hrs)
I can definitely tell you I have worn Jaxton out several times over the past few weeks because when it's bedtime he has fallen asleep finishing his bottle, then I wake him to burp him and he falls asleep again sitting in my lap and then he falls asleep again when I am putting him into his swaddle...so funny I was laughing pretty hard!!
Ross bought me the Baby Food maker from Williams and Sonama (Beaba) for Christmas and I am going to try it out on Sunday for his first Vegetable tasting which will be sweet potatoes!! I am looking forward to making him all kinds of flavorful foods so he develops a great palate!! You need to read up on all the GOOD points of making your own baby food ( for at least months 6 -12 which is the window of opportunity to help them develop their taste buds ) if you have a new baby!! I will keep you posted on how it goes!!
So you can see we have been very busy these past few weeks!! He changes so much and it is so incredible to see his little personality develop right before our eyes!

Wow....I see the 4W drive button...HURRY DAD let's go Muddin'!!

oh yea....nice leather seats...can't wait to spit up on these!!!

My new truck!!!

Giving my GOD Sista a Kiss Good-Bye!! See ya at my Baptism girl!!!

"Okay it's story time...anyone want to start first??"

I LIKE PINK!!!!

Whazzzzz Up??????

I taught Mr. Bee Bear how to sit-up too!!!!

These are great teethers!!!

Dad and me hanging out at Superbowl at Aunt Laura's and Uncle Zach's!!

What a traveling around week we had!! We started off at Grandma & Grandad Hvezdos's house for Sunday brunch last week in which Jaxton was so tired from all the company and "photo shoots" that he finally took a nap on a pallet that Grandma Hvezdos made on the floor with his arms sprawled wide out!! We ran around alot last week to stores and even stopped by Petco to see some animals....which Jaxton really liked the orange fishes!! We did not see the puppies there because it is TOO SAD but we did look at the yellow birds which were flying so fast it was hard to focus on them so we went back to the fishies!!!

On Thursday we went to LaCenterra and shopped around and I even took him out of the stroller and we just walked and looked at all the trees and waterfalls and even stopped into one of his favorite places, Starbucks, for a quick bottle and hot tea!! Then we headed over to Grammy's to stay the night and see his Uncle Jimmy. Grammy bought him "pinky" Valentine pajamas...the only time he is allowed to wear PINK!! He played and laughed at Lex, Grammy's dog, which he didn't even recognize the last time we were there...he is really growing up and studying his surroundings these days!!
On Friday we headed back home to clean up and take a nap and then off we headed back to Katy to meet up with his new GOD parents and sister at El Jarrito's. He was SO EXCITED that they said yes that when we were leaving I was holding Jaxton over my shoulder and all of a sudden I turned to look at him and there it went...PROJECTILE FORMULA out of his mouth ALL OVER me and him and the carpet at El Jarrito's!! It was even coming out of his nose poor little guy!!! Too much excitement!!! Oh well...I guess he was catching up to not even spitting up for the first 5 months of his life!!!

Then on Saturday ( Valentine's) we took Jaxton to his first Birthday party at Brent & Erin's house for their son Gage's 2nd Birthday...again lots of excitement so we left so he could take a nap in the car so we could head over to the Ford dealership to look at an Expedition that our friend who is a GM there had picked out for us. BUT then he showed Ross the brand new Platinum F-150 truck that just come out and I must say that I thought it was pretty sweet too...loaded out...it even has a stepping board that folds out when you open the door to get in and LOTS of room in the back seats...just as much as the Expedition....after both of us taking test drives and Ross saying " I always wanted a truck" we decided to purchase the truck instead of the Expedition!!! Now Ross wants to build a BBQ pit on a trailer so we can REALLY TAILGATE this football season!! Watch out here comes " Bud, Sissy and Little Bud"!!!!! That night we cooked up some great steaks and had some Jax wine to celebrate Valentine's day and we even ate...or at least bit into a whole BIG box of Valentine chocolates...it was sooooooo GOOD!!

As for Jaxton's progress this week he is really figuring out how to roll over and not get his arms stuck underneath him BUT he still needs a little push to get him started. He wants to stand all the time too!!!He found his ears this week and likes to rub them now when he is drinking his bottle...very sweet!! Still tons of biting EVERYTHING in his path BUT NO TOOTH yet!! Whah!! We have moved onto Oatmeal now and he LIKES IT TOO!!! It even gave him a great MOMO!!! Gotta love that fiber!!! His hair is still growing STRAIGHT UP....going to have to find some safe baby hair gel this week!! Knock on wood.....he is still sleeping GREAT at night...waking up just once to eat around 4 or 5 and going back to sleep until 7 or 7:30 BUT I am still waking up several times at night...GEEZ...can't wait until my body gets used to his new sleeping pattern!!!!

19 weeks!! MY MOMMY's HOME!!

At Sunday school Lila and Jaxton met for the first time and he said to her, " You can touch mine if I can touch yours!!"
Jaxton said he seriously was praying here and not sleeping!! Good Boy!!

I'm so happy Mommy is home to play dress up alot more with me now!! Get closer MOM!!

My gums sure have been killing me BUT this toy is the BOMB... I can hold it AND I can bite it all by myself!!!

" Do my legs look chunky?? Tell me the truth!!....Mom, where's my pants?!"

I taught Froggie how to smile!!

Okay, this is pretty cool looking at things this way BUT how can I reach my toys way up there?

Ah, it' so nice to lay on my side and just gaze out the window at the trees!

LOOK..I'm getting more hair...it's hard to see because it's so light BUT it's there & eyebrows too!

What a great week we had together!!! Coffee in our pajamas EVERY morning!! Showers not until 11 am!!
This week was such a relaxing week on my mind knowing that all I had to think about was what Jaxton and I were going to do for the day!! He surprised me this whole week by sleeping every night until 4 or 5 then going back down until 7 or 7:30!!! I think he is so happy I am home that he wants me to be well rested to PLAY ALL DAY LONG!!!

We continued cereal all week but he gave me a little surprise in his diaper after 4 days of cereal...a MOMO that looked like a deer pellet!! Scary how adult like it looked!! He got a little constipated but after a few days of grunting while trying to MOMO it has finally returned back to peanut butter!! ( That's what it is supposed to look like when they start to eat cereal...YES I called the Dr. again to see what I should do and she said just make cereal more runny and I could give him a little prune or apple juice.) We are only doing one morning feed for another week on rice cereal so his body can totally adjust then we are going to try OATMEAL!! Hopefully he can eat the stuff because it makes me gag when I eat it!!

Since he has learned how to use his tongue to swallow his cereal he has been rolling it ( or curling it ) all week long ( something I was never able to accomplish but his Daddy can)! He is even sticking it out when you do it with your tongue. What a copy cat!! I noticed a slight white bump in the front of his mouth on his lower gum so I think a TOOTH is trying to emerge!! I would expect it with all the biting and chewing going on!! Watch out if he spots your fingers!! I got some All Natural Hyland's teething tablets that are supposed to work wonders so I will let you know! If not just some good ole Tylenol!

He is still trying to roll over all by himself but gets stuck so I have to give him a little push...BUT at least he likes to be on his tummy now!! I thinks he loves standing the best though...maybe he will walk before he crawls!! I can tell his neck is strong because when I let him grab my thumbs he lifts his head to be pulled up from laying down.

His favorite book this week is " The Wheels on The Bus Go Round and Round" especially when I say the part , " The driver on the bus says Tickets Please, Tickets Please, Tickets Please. The driver on the bus says Tickets Please all day long"...I say it in a high pitch which makes him totally laugh every time!!

As you can see he is getting some more hair...growing pretty fast on top!! Looks like a strawberry blondie!!!

We FINALLY went to our Sunday School class at church on Sunday and we all have had babies so we decided we would bring them ALL to class and they would meet...all boys and one girl....I whispered to Jaxton he better get a move on it if he wanted her first!!!

Well we had fun all last week and are looking forward to another fun week this week... 5 month Birthday, Valentine's, Getting a new car, and hopefully a TOOTH!!!!

18 Weeks !! Finally CEREAL !!!

I can't wait to feed myself !!
This rice cereal sure is GOOD!!

" Wow...I can actually look down at my toys now "

Mom & Dad just love to shop but it makes me SLEEPY!!

My last time to ever turn in my Pfizer Sample Forms :( :)

Before I start this blog I just want to say " Becareful what you ASK GOD for!" And I say that because last Friday I was laid off from my job after 8 years with Pfizer. When I was told the news by my manager all I could think was " GOD, were you really listening to all my SILENT prayers all these months when I was asking you to make my life where I could spend more time with Jaxton???" I thought that was kinda answered when I was able to return to work on a bridge back gig in which I was only working 3 days a week for another 2 months but I guess GOD had MUCH BIGGER plans for me!!!

It is truly sad to leave such a good company but harder to leave all the GREAT people I have formed relationships with over all these years! My heart was at peace though on Friday when I heard the news ( didn't think I would feel as calm as I did ) BUT all I had to do was turn around and look at Jaxton smiling at me and him thinking " YEA, I get to have my MOMMY back!!!" And I truly felt the same about him!! It can't get much better than that. I don't know what the future will hold for me BUT I do know GOD IS LISTENING!!

So as for this BLOG I will definitely STILL be updating it weekly since I will not be too busy with Pfizer work! :)

Jaxton must have known that I was about to go through another life changing event and the only way he felt like he could truly help was to sleep ALL THE WAY THROUGH the night 2 nights in a row ( Thurs & Friday ) and then he has only been waking up once around 4 am and going back to sleep til almost 7 these past few days!!! YEA!!!!!!!!

Jaxton got his 4 month check-up ( even though he is 4 1/2 months old ) last Thursday and you know what comes with that...MORE SHOTS!!! Whahhhhhhhh!! I hadn't heard that hard cry in a long time but he recouped quickly from it and was smiling once again!!

BUT he did weigh in at 15 POUNDS 9 ounces ( 90th percentile )and was 25 3/4 inches long
( 75 th percentile ) and his head was 44 cm (90th percentile )ROUND!! Growing Boy!!
His hair is rapidly growing ( going to be a blondie from what it looks like )! This week he found his tongue and has been rolling it around and pushing it out along with seeing how loud he can squeal with his new voice...WOW he has some lungs!!!

He is really holding his head up great now ( he can turn it from side to side without it falling now!! ) and still trying to roll over but not yet.
His appetite has sure increased over the past week because he is sucking down 4 ounces like one big gulp so we have moved onto trying to eat 6 ounces.....

BUT HE FINALLY GOT TO EAT CEREAL on SuperBowl Sunday!!!
We got the video camera out and Ross began shooting waiting for him to spit it all out BUT instead he made a few funny faces and swallowed it down like a BIG BOY....he LIKED it!!! Yea!!! What fun it is to see a baby try real food for the first time EVER!!! I put 1 tablespoon cereal plus 3 tablespoons formula and it was the perfect consistency!! Next he gets to try oatmeal in a week on so and then on to VEGGIES!!! Which will lead to weird colored MOMO's!!!!!!

So as for me this week.... I am a TRUE HOUSEWIFE!! And it feels pretty darn good!! :)
