" Wow...I can actually look down at my toys now "
Before I start this blog I just want to say " Becareful what you ASK GOD for!" And I say that because last Friday I was laid off from my job after 8 years with Pfizer. When I was told the news by my manager all I could think was " GOD, were you really listening to all my SILENT prayers all these months when I was asking you to make my life where I could spend more time with Jaxton???" I thought that was kinda answered when I was able to return to work on a bridge back gig in which I was only working 3 days a week for another 2 months but I guess GOD had MUCH BIGGER plans for me!!!
It is truly sad to leave such a good company but harder to leave all the GREAT people I have formed relationships with over all these years! My heart was at peace though on Friday when I heard the news ( didn't think I would feel as calm as I did ) BUT all I had to do was turn around and look at Jaxton smiling at me and him thinking " YEA, I get to have my MOMMY back!!!" And I truly felt the same about him!! It can't get much better than that. I don't know what the future will hold for me BUT I do know GOD IS LISTENING!!
So as for this BLOG I will definitely STILL be updating it weekly since I will not be too busy with Pfizer work! :)
Jaxton must have known that I was about to go through another life changing event and the only way he felt like he could truly help was to sleep ALL THE WAY THROUGH the night 2 nights in a row ( Thurs & Friday ) and then he has only been waking up once around 4 am and going back to sleep til almost 7 these past few days!!! YEA!!!!!!!!
Jaxton got his 4 month check-up ( even though he is 4 1/2 months old ) last Thursday and you know what comes with that...MORE SHOTS!!! Whahhhhhhhh!! I hadn't heard that hard cry in a long time but he recouped quickly from it and was smiling once again!!
BUT he did weigh in at 15 POUNDS 9 ounces ( 90th percentile )and was 25 3/4 inches long
( 75 th percentile ) and his head was 44 cm (90th percentile )ROUND!! Growing Boy!!
( 75 th percentile ) and his head was 44 cm (90th percentile )ROUND!! Growing Boy!!
His hair is rapidly growing ( going to be a blondie from what it looks like )! This week he found his tongue and has been rolling it around and pushing it out along with seeing how loud he can squeal with his new voice...WOW he has some lungs!!!
He is really holding his head up great now ( he can turn it from side to side without it falling now!! ) and still trying to roll over but not yet.
His appetite has sure increased over the past week because he is sucking down 4 ounces like one big gulp so we have moved onto trying to eat 6 ounces.....
BUT HE FINALLY GOT TO EAT CEREAL on SuperBowl Sunday!!!
We got the video camera out and Ross began shooting waiting for him to spit it all out BUT instead he made a few funny faces and swallowed it down like a BIG BOY....he LIKED it!!! Yea!!! What fun it is to see a baby try real food for the first time EVER!!! I put 1 tablespoon cereal plus 3 tablespoons formula and it was the perfect consistency!! Next he gets to try oatmeal in a week on so and then on to VEGGIES!!! Which will lead to weird colored MOMO's!!!!!!
So as for me this week.... I am a TRUE HOUSEWIFE!! And it feels pretty darn good!! :)
