Southern Flying Diner in Brenham ( planes fly in and eat some lunch at this diner )
Oh where, oh where has my little baby gone???? I thought it would be much later for some of these changes he is going through but they are here! This whole summer Jaxton has been wanting to go sleep in the "BIG BED" every night we have put him down in his crib. What he is referring to is the king size bed in the room next to him. I thought maybe he just wanted to sleep with me but after him crying when I put him in his crib every night and then waking up crying to go to the "BIG BED" we decided it was time to say "Bye-Bye" to his crib and get him a BIG BED! We bought everything in a matter of 5 days and he watched us take his crib apart and put together his new full size bed...he was SO EXCITED the whole time yelling "NEW BED"!! Since the moment he knew it was his NEW BIG BED he wants to go upstairs and get on it and just lay there and look at everything in his room and talk about it all...so sweet! So this is the 4th night he has slept in it and has been sleeping very good...I do have to lay down with him until he goes to sleep since it is so new but at least he is not crying anymore...poor little guy just needed more room!!
We have taken it easy these past couple of weeks and just played in the pools a few more times until they are closed. He caught another cold but it really wasn't bad except a runny runny nose...but all is better now!
Since Jaxton was very little I have used the phrase "Oh my goodness" a zillion times not knowing that I was embedding that phrase into that little brain of his.....but I have and that is his new phrase lately and will come get me where ever I am in the house to show me "oh my goodness" which means he has spilled his Cheerios all over the place :) He also has finally figured out how to open all the doors so I immediately made a trip to Babies R Us and purchased those things that go over the door knob which is impossible for them to open but turns out it's pretty hard for us too! Jaxton figured out what they were and got upset that he couldn't open up those doors but I just kept repeating " dangerous" and showed him the ones he was allowed to open and he was okay with that...for now :)
Jaxton is seriously repeating and remembering every word we say.... even sentences or phrases. Unfortunately he heard me say s**t when we were putting his new bed together...which I never say but it came out and he said it about a hundred times... we couldn't help but laugh hoping he will forget about it in a couple of days!
Last but not least, Jaxton is FAMOUS!! We have a local magazine in Cypress and I saw an ad asking for fall pictures of your children so I sent in a picture of Jaxton in the apple orchards we visited last October in California and sure enough they REALLY liked it and used it as an entire page for the Cy-Fair Fall Activities leading page!
