| National Aviation Day!! So we went to a local airport and saw a bunch of small prop planes!!! |

| They landed and took off about every 5 minutes too!! |

Dog Days of Summer are here to stay!! This has been the hottest summer EVER!! 100+ temps for as long as I can remember!! I have had to be so creative and find stuff to do so we aren't sitting around the house driving each other NUTS!!! Thank goodness my MOMS Club had a lot of stuffed planned for August so that helped out!! Then there is the list of crazy holidays I find and we "celebrate" those too...LOL!!
Jaxton is growing up way too fast these days and his little brain is working harder than ever!! He has learned many songs over the summer and one of his favorites is "Knee Deep In the Water Somewhere" which he sings all the time...Ross has learned it on his guitar and I have yet to get that on video...next time!! But he does sing in the car all the time and he acts like he knows the words to all the songs...he even tells me what song he wants to hear when I flip through the radio stations...mostly Pop songs with drums!! He sings himself to sleep at night by singing the ABC song and loves to count all day to 10!!
He has found a new LOVE other than the usual drains, pipes, vents, mufflers and mudflaps....it's TURBINES...those things on top of the roof that turn around to suck the hot air out of your attic...mostly on old homes now these days!! He likes the "spinning" action of it he says...LOL!! But it was so funny the other day when we were swimming at the Rob Flemming Aquatic Center in the Woodlands because a little girl ( younger than him) came floating by us and was looking for DRAINS TOO!! Her mom said that she is infatuated with them and TOILETS too...OMG we found his WIFE ALREADY!!!! We couldn't believe it!!
His favorite saying these days is " he's not supposed to do that!!! "... or "your not supposed to do that" !
Oh and one day when we were at the Nature Discovery Center walking outside for a few minutes in the heat to see a huge bee hive, Jaxton said " I'm sweating in my boobies"...OH NOW I have got to be so careful what I say all the time!! I have said that when it is so incredibly sweltering outside and he was so serious when he said it...LOL!!
Jaxton FINALLY went to see the dentist for the 1st time and he was PERFECT to much of my surprise!! He let them clean his teeth, floss his teeth and even use the tool with a sharp point on the end of it to stick in the middle of each tooth to make sure there was no decay!! He is GROWING UP!! She said his teeth looked great but he does grind them a little bit and could tell on his two bottom front teeth...so she told him not to do that and everyday since then right before he wants to he says" She said NO NO!" She also noticed his little skin under his tongue being tight (frenulum) and I told her I had a problem breast feeding because he couldn't latch on very well and the lactation consultant said the same thing...she said we could get it snipped but to wait since it is not affecting his speech any...she said it could possibly pull his gum away from his tooth if too tight and then they would cut it then :( She also said the little skin skin attached to his upper lip is the same way...but not to worry about that now either. She said they have lasers now and would be fine when the time is right:) At least he his good for another 6 months!!
We took Jaxton back to church again on Sunday to try to get him prepared for school coming up! They paged me only ONCE and it had already been an hour (our preacher has been going longer in his sermons this month) and the reason was that they put his "B2B"..aka blankie...up on the counter where he couldn't find it :( So after some hugs and cuddles I asked him if that was okay if I went back to "BIG CHURCH" for a little longer and he said "yes"...so he stayed longer and read some books :) I think the teachers will be much more "in tune" than just nursery babysitters...at least I hope!!!!!
