Did I say we HADN'T SLOWED DOWN???? Well I think as soon as I hit the key to up-date Jaxton's blog the last time we HAD to SLOW DOWN!! Jaxton woke up at midnight a week ago this past Saturday throwing up every 15 minutes then every 30 minutes for 8 HOURS!! I called the Dr. in the middle of the night to talk to a nurse because either he had food poisoning or horrible virus....all he said to do was wait it out through the night since there were no other symptoms to alarm him! POOR LITTLE GUY!! I felt so bad for him...trying to throw-up nothing is the worst! He finally quit dry heaving that next morning sometime and it was hard to even keep water down him but FINALLY he did and diluted Gatorade helped tremendously ( Pedialyte to me is so yucky ). All he wanted was for me to hold him and lay down...I don't blame him. Monday my Mom suggested I try baby rice cereal with water and sugar and he scarfed it down and kept it down....I gave him some applesauce and smashed up banana too and it worked wonders...he was up and playing finally! Tuesday I was on my way to Beth Moore and I had to stop at 3 places and NOT TO SHOP....I was getting what Jaxton had!! I turned around and headed home and buddied up with the toilet for the next couple of hours....not much sleep for me that night either so Ross had to stay home because I couldn't get out of bed much and had no energy for a 2 year old!! It wasn't until later that day that I finally felt better....what a horrible stomach virus we had! Thank goodness Ross never got it because he worked a convention all weekend and thank goodness we got better because we stayed at the hotel too to have some fun this past weekend.

When Jaxton and I got to the hotel we decorated the room for Halloween (or at least I did while he smelled his candles and flushed the toilet a hundred times) and waited until Ross got done for the day to go have some fun! Jaxton LOVES Hotels just as much as I do...guess I rubbed that off onto him! We ate at Cheesecake Factory ( since it was pretty kid friendly) and then took Jaxton to Build-A-Bear where he had so much fun making his own Puppy! We had to stop by Godiva and get some GOOD chocolate....I think Jaxton would eat it all if I would let him and Ross too! We headed back to the hotel and sat out by the pool and enjoyed the beautiful full moon with Jaxton...lol !

Saturday, Ross worked his convention during the day and I took Jaxton to the Zoo where they were celebrating ZooBoo ( basically Halloween at the Zoo ). They had lots of fun activities and all the kids were dressed up in their costumes...Jaxton just wore a t-shirt since his costume is Polyester and he would of been too hot in it. Although we were there from 9-12 and there was tons of clouds and wind so we didn't even break a sweat!! This even made the train ride pleasant today!! We headed back to the hotel to take a nap and then Dada was all done and we headed to dinner at Maggiano's! There food is still pretty good and not to mention the wine too!! Jaxton needed to let some energy out so we headed to the Willams Water Wall and enjoyed the evening outside for a bit then we headed to our OLD sushi place hoping they were still open that Ross and I used to visit all the time when we were dating! YEA....It was still there and so were our dear friends the owners. They were just as excited to see us and meet Jaxton as we were to see them! After some catching up Jaxton was ready to cruise so we headed back to the hotel for some moonlight by the pool again!! LOL!

Sunday, Ross worked the convention in the morning so I took Jaxton to the Galleria for his 1st Cinnabon experience and to watch the ice skaters....he loved both! It's been awhile since I had a fresh, warm cinnamon roll....it was GOOD!!! We then made our way over to Barnes and Noble to show him a bookstore ( since he knows what a library is ) and of course he was pulling all the books out especially the ones that make noise BUT he did put them all back up too! We found a Halloween book and headed back to the hotel to check out. BUT before we headed home Ross and I stopped at the CVS by the Galleria to get our flu shot since they take your insurance there... my arm is STILL HURTING from this year's shot...it better be that GOOD!!! And Jaxton sucked on his Tootsie Roll pop...not gonna worry about candy this week since it is HALLOWEN WEEK!!

Water fountains at LaCenterra...too much fun!!

October fun has already begun!! Coming off Jaxton's 2nd birthday we haven't slowed down at ALL and I don't see any end soon....but that's a GOOD THING!!

Ross went out of town twice since then and we took advantage of spending sometime with my Mom (Mimi)! She took some time off work and we spent everyday outside enjoying the beautiful weather!! We visited Sugarland and did some shopping at all their new stores...really neat set-up out there...wish we had that in Cypress :( But we found Jaxton's Chrismas outfit! We ended up at LaCenterra in Katy for some good mexican food at the new Las Almadeus and playing in the water fountains...anything with drains is FUN for Jaxton right now!!

My Mom took us to the ZOO too and she hadn't been in a very long time...old memories! One thing Jaxton has been doing lately that is so funny is when he needs to MOMO he finds a corner to have some peace and quiet and he says "I need MOMO corner"...well he did this at the ZOO and we weren't around any corner so he found a spot behind a bench....we were laughing so hard...1st time to do this in public!! We headed back to Katy to eat at Outback where I used to work during the summer in college...Jaxton hung in there pretty good!

Dewberry Farm was next on the list and we drove out there again like we did last year to get a pumpkin and ride some rides! Gorgeous day we picked! Jaxton enjoyed his 1st snowcone but decided he didn't like it after awhile...not too much of a sweet tooth! He found MANY pumpkins and tried to pick them all up, rode the ponies, rode the barrel train, rode the dunebuggies, saw a bunch of animals and went down a big slide many times with me which hurt my BUM-BUM bad going down it....it was made of rolling pipes....I NEEDED HIS DIAPER for that one! After all the fun we headed back to our house and picked up some good Italian food which we were just about to enjoy when I heard a "hissing" sound in the garage....come to find out I ran over a nail and the air was coming out FAST!! Thank goodness for roadside assistance! Jaxton watched and helped him change our tire and then we finally enjoyed our dinner BUT later that night it must have been too rich and garlicky for Jaxton because he threw it up all over his bed...thank goodness Mimi was staying the night to help clean up!! BUT then she made me watch these crazy movies on Lifetime!! LOL

Sunday was Jaxton's friend Harrison's 2nd Birthday where he celebrated it at Gymboree ( which we hadn't been to in awhile) and Jaxton was in hog heaven again....climbing and sliding with ease now! FINALLY Jaxton ate alot of cake! Harrison was too cute when he was trying to blow out his candle....he was blowing up instead of out until his mom squeezed his cheecks and the air went straight and the candle was out!! Yea!!

October 5th was National Night Out and our street celebrated with food and drinks down in our cul-de-sac...I baked some Pumpkin bread that tasted like the Starbucks kind...YUM YUM! I sipped on wine while taking all the kids for rides in Jaxton's wagon! Good to know your neighbor's!!

This month we finally started REAL gymnastics at the Cypress Academy and he just LOVES it...learning so many ways to twist and turn his little body!

When Ross went out of town the second time we stayed the night at my Mom's house which we hadn't done in a long time...neither of us slept good at all...not sure why but we did hear alot of noises that we don't ususally hear!! BUT Jaxton loves my Mom's dog Lex and played with him very well...guess a puppy will be in our future! AND he finally stepped into a sandbox at a local restaurant...which was a 1st since he has hated sand this summer!!

We celebrated my Mom's 61st birthday too...no BIG party like last year though...guess that will be in 4 more years!

Last weekend we went to my hometown and went to the 30th Annual Katy Rice Harvest Festival and Jaxton again rode the carousel and fished for prizes which he won and he even rode a ride all by himself for the 1st time...he loved it...smiled the entire time!! Ross and I got to relax a few minutes and listen to some music and enjoy a beer while Jaxton entertained us and danced! We left and ate some good Mexican food which I replicated a few nights lateer...tortilla crusted tilapia tacos topped with fresh grilled corn, pico, avocado and we picked up Chuy's jalapeno cream sauce to pour over it....YUM YUM YUM! Our day wasn't finished because I have been wanting to take Jaxton to Ritter's Frozen Custard in Katy since he was a baby but never got around to it...so we did and he loved it and so did Ross....we sat outside and enjoyed the fresh cool air while Jaxton gazed a zillion times at the "MOON"...which he finds so fascinating these days!!!

This past week we enjoyed the parks, playdates and gymnastics! I met up with some old Pfizer friends for drinks and shopping! Good to see some of my old friends! Friday Jaxton and I went to see my friend Cheri's new house being built and Jaxton made sure all the toilets could flush like a 1000 times...good gaw!! Then we went up to Conroe to visit Ross's parents for dinner and Jaxton's Grandma let him "wash dishes" while I installed a ceiling fan for her! Ross and his Dad then went to see his old High School football team play and unfortunately they left early because Conroe was failing at putting any points on the board!

This morning I grabbed Ross and Jaxton and we went to Zube park about 10 minutes west of us. Here is where the Houston Area Live Steamers Association is..( men who have a hobby to build small locomotives). We rode the train two times and really enjoyed it...the train traveled through the forest and over many bridges and Jaxton saw many drains under the bridges...LOL!! But what great weather to relax in!

We ended the day with Jaxton and I attending Taylor's 2nd Birthday party and Ross went to Gunner's 1st Birthday party!! All the babies are growing up!! I guess that is why all my friend's are on Baby #2 or Baby #3!!! We are hoping the wonderful weather sticks around for all the other fun stuff we have planned for the rest of the month!!

And to end the busy 1st half of October I want to write down a few other things about Jaxton lately before I forget!!!

First of all, he had his 2nd year check up and got 3 shots which made him very tired and out of character that day :( BUT he is very healthy and weighed in at 26 lbs ( at least we made it over 25) and was 34 1/2 inches tall with a size 7.5 shoe size!

So now I was excited to give him peanut butter...BUT HE DIDN'T LIKE IT!! He ate a few bites and said "I don't like it" so I tried a Reese's peanut butter cup and after one small teeny weeny bite I couldn't trick him and he said " I don't like it" again...oh well maybe soon!! BUT today at Taylor's party he ate chocolate cake and even pizza which he hasn't liked either!!

He LOVES LOVES to be tickled...not only anywhere on his body and especially his armpits which he asks" armpit tickle"...but he loves his feet and the back of his legs lightly tickled at nap time and bed time and loves his arms to be tickled til he can see the "goose bumps"!

So I introduced time out to him awhile back and really haven't had to use it much but when I do I say, " Jaxton...you need a time out...go sit on the stairs" and whether he is crying or not he runs to the stair right away and I tell him why he is there and what I don't want him to do and why and then I say "okay??" and he says ( everytime) "otay?!" and he DOESN'T DO IT AGAIN!!! So this is working great for us right now!! It's almost sweet!!

Jaxton I know is ready and has been ready for potty training for sometime now BUT it has been me to delay it because how easy it is for him to be in a diaper and have no accidents BUT I will start soon on the REAL potty training and I'm sure I will have some good stories from that!!

And last but not least, he still loves us to sing the Lord's Prayer and he recites about 5 of the verses still BUT now he will burst out with " And the POWER and the GLORY" and sometimes I get an "AMEN"!!!
