Ross & I celebrated our 6th year anniversary at the hospital this year!!!
Well Little Ms Presley decided she was good and ready to be here with us! So much for a TRULY PLANNED c-section date of May 17th!! Her actual due date was today, May 23rd. But come another late Thursday night like Jaxton was...I started to have contractions and couldn't believe this was really happening! My brain was saying "she's not ready yet" but my body was saying "Oh yes she is"!! So after a few minutes of pondering on this I jumped into over drive and got my stuff together, called my sister to come over while Jaxton was asleep ( this was 9:30 at night already), called my mom and got everything put into the car and off we headed to have Baby #2!!!
When we got settled in at the hospital I was having contractions about every 3 to 5 minutes but I was not dilated at all!! So therefore at 11:30 pm my Dr. called and said she would just wait until 6:30 am to deliver her. I was sad but happy at the same time....I wanted to meet her noe but then again I wanted to have her born in the morning hoping that would make her a good sleeper. Jaxton was born at 11:58 pm and is NOT a good sleeper until the summertime gets here...not sure why that is!
So my mom stayed with me until 4:30 am and Ross went home to sleep a bit and relieve my sister. Then my mom went to my house to be with Jaxton and Ross came back for the delivery. Then Ross went home to get Jaxton to bring him to see me and his new baby !!! Whirlwind but that is what happens when you have more than one kiddo!!
So at 7:03 am Presly was born weighing in at 6 lbs 2 oz and 19 inches long (come to find out they measured her wrong when she was born...crazy!!)
She has the same hair Jaxton had and resembles him so much!!! But she is so quiet and only cries when I change her diaper!!!
My mom decorated my room like a hotel and even brought lamps up for ambiance!!! Everyone loved it and even the night nurses commented on how nice my room was!! Thank you so much Mom for every little detail you did to make this time so special!!!!
After a few days of recovery, which seemed easier this time, and many visitors who toasted Presley's arrival with all the champagne my mom bought...we finally headed home!1
Jaxton has had his moments of change but he truly LOVES and ADORES her so much!! He helps me at every diaper change and sits so close to me with her at feeding times....which by the way I chose to do bottle feeding this time!!
She serioulsy has been the best baby ever!!!! Rarely cries and smiles alot....just a sweet demeanor she has!!! I Thank GOD for this precious gift he has blessed us with and now I truly feel my family is COMPLETE!!! |
