Well I think I will update his blog 2 times a month now instead of once a month since it looks like there will always be more than enough to talk about!!

YES...he is finally WALKING!! He has been doing it for about 2 weeks now but he is really doing very well now....I counted at least 60 steps at one time today!! He can even stand up from a sitting position....I think that is what all those headstands were all about! He now wants to walk everywhere so bare feet are mostly just at home now. It's so amazing to see them get so excited when they accomplish something so BIG in their life. His smile gets bigger and BIGGER the farther he walks!! I know he is going to be running away from me VERY SOON!! I'm sure we will have some tantrums then for sure!! I have seen a couple slight ones recently when we have been somewhere where he can't get down or we are somewhere we have to keep picking him up from getting into something he shouldn't SO WE WILL LIMIT those events right now!!

He has been getting some major boo boo's from his over excitement of walking so hopefully those will disappear quickly or someone may call CPS on us!!!!

My Mom celebrated her 60th birthday and we ROASTED her pretty good....I expect a payback in 6 years when I turn the BIG 4-0 !! I just hope I look as good as her when I get that OLD...haha...just kidding Mom!

We visited Dewberry Farm last weekend during the AMAZING weather we had here.....it felt like we were back in California!! Jaxton had a blast walking in the pumpkin patch, standing among REAL CORN, watching a pig race, riding a pony...but it wasn't at all the fun experience he had in Cali....the pony's were tied up this time :(, saw lots of farm animals and liked the chickens the best, rode around in his wagon like he was the KING and then made his mark by throwing up the yogurt and puffs he ate while watching the dancing chicken show...thank goodness all we had to do was kick some dirt over it to clean it up...LOL!!!

And to make an end to the PERFECT weather this weekend we took Jaxton to some local neighborhood playgrounds to swing and play and of course he loved it all....I really think he is going to be an outside kiddo!

I had so much fun today!
Bye-Bye Julianna!! Come give me a hug!!

We headed to the airport on Thursday morning and made it there without a hitch!! Jaxton had no idea what was about to happen. Unfortunately we had to wait 25 min on the tarmack BUT as soon as we took off Jaxton feel sound asleep for 1 hr 20 min BUT THEN we still had 2 hr 20 min to go!! Between reading books and playing with the neighbors he did awesome!! Donna picked us up and we headed to eat lunch...we were all starving!! Jaxton made his mark at lunch though! Right when he finished his mac-n-cheese and his bottle he thre-up all over me and him!! He seemed to fell great after that!! Maybe he was a litttle queezy from the airplane AND car ride...I sure did get car sick myself...yuck!!
We finally got to Donna & Andy's house and Jaxton got to meet Julianna!! They played really well together the whole time. Julianna just did everything Jaxton did and followed him around everywhere!! They had cats and Jaxton thought they were the funniest thing!! We found out that Ross and I are no longer allergic to them and Jaxton isn't either...THANK Goodness!!
I brought my monitor so we could enjoy the evenings with Andy & Donna and it worked GREAT except for the first night!! I thought the little nightlight was enough light for him BUT apparently NOT!! We were just heading upstairs to go to bed and he must have woken up and gotten scared because he was crying so hard to the point where he made himself throw-up!! After calming him down we found a very dim light to turn on and that was the trick for the rest of our trip!!
Friday Andy & Ross went to play golf and we went shopping and had lunch at some really cool outdoor shopping center...the weather was absolutley breathtaking!!! Ross and I did have very chapped lips pretty quickly though from the dryness...BUT WHO CARES when there is NO HUMIDITY!!! We had dinner and then we relaxed in their hot tub enjoying the crisp air!!
On Saturday I left Jaxton for the first time with a stranger ( her live in au pair...Satoko) and Julianna for the day so we could go to the vineyards!! I wasn't sure how he would do BUT he didn't cry one time the WHOLE DAY...he just played and played!!! We headed out to the vineyards and this time of the year is when they crush the grapes. We went to Amador County where there was a big festival and drove to many wineries!! We had so much fun!!!We came home to feed the babies and give them their baths then Satoko watched the monitors as they slept and we went to a dinner with their friends...which was GREAT!!
Sunday was the kids day!! We took them to a Fall Festival at Apple Hill. I ate the best pie I have EVER eaten in my life...Pumpkin & Apple Pie mixed!! WOW!!! I'm for sure going to make that for Thanksgiving this year!! They played in the pumpkin patch and then Jaxton rode a pony for the very first time!! I don't think he could have been smiling any bigger!! His Aunt Laura would have been SO PROUD!!! Then we headed to the Apple Orchards to pick apples for the 1st time in all of our lives!! I was amazed!
We got home and had pizza night and watched a slide show of all the pictures we took over the weekend!! Donna & Andy thought that was pretty cool to wait and look at the pictures at the end of the vacation to reminence on the memories we will now have forever!!
So we had to leave Monday morning to head back home...whahhh! We got to the airport at 10:30 and hoping to take off at 12:15 BUT there was a 2 HOUR delay!!! Holy Cow!! So I got a chair massage and then played with Jaxton for the next couple of hours!! FINALLY we boarded and Jaxton feel sound asleep as soon as the plane took off!! We even had a little bit of turbulence on the way home and Jaxton just laughed....WOW...what a trooper he is!!!
Today...after catching up on some sleep...he had his 1 year check-up where he had to get 5 shots!!! He cried so hard but so fast and was just fine after we left the examing room and was back to smiling at anyone who would look at him!
He got a GREAT report and now we will be getting rid of the bottle and working on drinking more from his sippy cup!!
He weighed in at 22 lbs ( ~50% ); 31 inches ( 90%); head 47.7 cm (average)
