Whew!!! What a Christmas Holiday this was! Jaxton started out sick and pretty much stayed sick until FINALLY after about 10 days...BUT in the meantime Ross got a cold and my cold turned into a sinus infection...GEEZ.... BUT as of today we are all feeling MUCH BETTER!!!

The sickies pretty much kept us house bound and ruined all of our fun holiday plans BUT at least Christmas turned out really good!

We started out at Aunt Laura's & Uncle Zach's on Christmas Eve wearing our pj's over to their house and kicking off the celebration with a tasty dinner cooked up by Uncle Zach and then we began the never ending tradition of opening presents for the next two days! We left their house to go home BUT all the rain we just had finally came down their creeks and flooded the roads in both directions that we knew how to get out SO we headed back to their house and then followed Aunt Laura to a route that took us safely home! Grammy and her dog (Lex) stayed the night with us too!

On Christmas morning I went to get Jaxton out of bed and brought him down stairs where DaDa started to video and he immediately EYED his new TRUCK!!! So we decided to let him play with that and have breakfast and then open all the other presents! It took him ONE day to figure out how to press his tiny little foot on the pedal to make it go and then he never took it off!!! Vroom Vroom all around the house!!

I was so busy getting Christmas ready for Jaxton, getting all the food cooked for Christmas dinner at our house that day and then visiting with family that I completely FORGOT to take pictures UNTIL the very very end!!! I couldn't believe it....at least I got a few!!

In the end.... it is all about Jesus's Birthday and we are so thankful to be BLESSED by him!!

Bubbles, Bubbles everywhere!!!

Would you believe it if I told you it snowed AGAIN this year???? I wouldn't either!! This is the EARLIEST it has ever snowed in Houston...December 4th 2009!! Maybe we will get more this year...I hope so because everywhere South of us got enough to play in it BUT we only got snowflakes and no covered ground so you know what that means.....NO SNOWBALL FIGHTS.....whah!! But it was beautiful to see it falling from the sky and Jaxton had fun just wondering what it was because it sure wasn't bubbles!!!

Jaxton celebrated Santiago's Birthday with him at Gymboree and had a blast....just like in class he followed the teacher and did exactly what she wanted them to do....way too funny!!! Ross also witnessed this when he came to his class last Monday! Hopefully he will do that when he gets into school too!!
Jaxton has continued to be REALLY GOOD with all our lights in the house EXCEPT for the candle lights I had in the windows because now he knows how to UNSCREW the LIGHT BULBS!!! Little smarty pants!!! Other than that it still looks very much like Christmas in the house! And I can't wait for Christmas morning either!!! He is going to have so much fun....and of course we will too .....BUT we still have to put many things together and wrap his presents from SANTA!!!

I still have not had a chance to try my new camera skills out BUT hopefully I will be ready by Christmas....we have just been so busy shopping!!

Ross's last day of work for the year was December 11th....just in time for his 34th Birthday that Sunday the 13th. We started the weekend off with a dinner party with his friend Grant and Michelle and their 2 month old son who was "perfect" the whole time and Jaxton kept wanting to touch him and swing him in his swing....I wonder if he would be that sweet if he had a little brother or sister??? I made a cake for Ross...which he likes chocolate cake with white icing....and it turned out absolutely fantastic!!! It really tasted like an Oreo cookie....it is definitely a keeper!!! Saturday my Mom came over and babysat while Ross and I went to a very nice dinner and then went and played darts at a local bar and guess who WON???? ME!!!! Way too funny!!! We ended his birthday with a lunch with his parents in the Woodlands at Lupe Tortilla's but really didn't sit down much since Jaxton is not very good out to eat these days....he knows he has legs now and wants to use them ALL THE TIME!!

We were supposed to be in Tyler right now spending some time with Ross's sister BUT we had to take Jaxton to the Dr. yesterday and he has slight ear infections in BOTH ears and LOTS of drainage which made him throw-up all his food at every meal today!!! Poor little guy!! Hopefully he we start feeling better tomorrow.....he has to get ready for SANTA!!!!
