Well between Birthdays and Play dates and hot and cold weather we have managed to stay well !! BUT we did have a close call at our Piggies & Paws Party... as we were mingling and enjoying some pumpkin bread I smelled smoke and immediately new one of my candles had either burned out or was burning something...UNFORTUNATELY it was burning something...the entire candle holder was in 2 foot flames in my kitchen!! Thank goodness for the kitchen counter TUNDRA fire extinguisher ( looks like a can of hairspray ) I was able to extinguish the fire in seconds...the culprit??....I had some fake acorns the candle was sitting on in the holder....the package they came in probably said "Flammable"!

Jaxton's newest quirk this month has been to continually say "I DON'T LIKE THAT" when he sees either men's facial hair or mannequins. Ross tried to grow his out this past week so Jaxton would "get over" this but it didn't work. Jaxton's reply to Ross was.." I don't like that...need to shave"....SO SANTA is OFF my list of things to do in December. We attended his friend William's 2nd birthday and Jaxton put his hands over his eyes every time he saw a dad with facial hair...geez!!!

BUT at least we haven't had any tantrums at naps anymore with the tickling....I decided to just sing him The Lord's Prayer and he has fallen asleep within minutes...I couldn't of asked for a better solution!

Grandad celebrated his 67th birthday and got alot of Texan stuff and tickets to a game and we ate yummy chocolate cake!

This weekend my mom and I took Jaxton down to the Galleria to see the lighting of the Christmas Tree. Supposedly my mom and dad took my sister and I every year...I probably can't recall it because of all the other places they took us to around the holidays! We were lucky and got a corner table at La Madeline looking right out to the tree. So we enjoyed a glass of wine while Jaxton ate dinner, read a book and tried to poke all the people passing by with his light stick....little stinker! He was getting antsy though cause they didn't light the tree until after the whole show was over and THEN I didn't know they were going to have FIREWORKS as the tree was lit up...and when Jaxton saw and heard these his little lower lip turned down and quivered and then came some tears and he said " GO BYE BYE"...so we were out of there like a flash!! SO FIREWORKS will be off my list for New Year's Eve too!!

More Quarter rides...a submarine!!

We rode in the BIG Fancy Chair on the Carousel today!

So HAPPY for another Choo Choo ride!!

We had a fun week leading up to Halloween! We visited Katy Mills Mall again and rode the carousel again and the choo choo again and ate at the Rain Forest Cafe again BUT Jaton always acts like it;s the first time he has done it all! We did have to leave the children's play area because a Dad showed up with a mustache and Jaxton said about a 1000 times " I don't like that" so we left! He's not sure about facial hair...guess Ross needs to grow it out to get him over this!

They celebrated Halloween at gymnastics this week and most came dressed up BUT AGAIN Jaxton's polyester costume would of been way too hot to run around it so we just wore another t-shirt!

We had our 1st pumpkin carving event with Jaxton and he was more interested in what was inside the pumpkin than the actual carving...typical boy! And I somehow managed to lose my phone this night and have a feeling it was thrown away with the pumpkin innerds!

Friday I decided to take Jaxton to the very last farm I wanted to this season since it was such a beautiful day! It wasn't the best one but it had lots of running space and lots of animals to pet!

Saturday morning we packed up and headed to Aggieland for Jaxton's 1st Texas Aggie vs Texas Tech game! We were so blesssed that we had no traffic and drove right up to our tailgate area via a parking pass by Ross's brother-in-law and had no traffic when we left.. what a relief with a 2 year old in the car!! We tailgated for about 4hrs and Jaxton spent the entire time running around for drains and seeing all the tailgaters stuff! Ross went to the game and Jaxton and I headed home and we weren't even on the rode for 5 minutes and he was passed out....that's what good Texas air will do to you!! Unfortunately for Ross the Aggies BEAT the Raiders this time ...BUT WHOOP FOR ME!!!!!

Halloween was alot of fun this year with Jaxton! So much more aware of what is going on BUT I still don't think he got it BUT was very HAPPY ringing doorbells and getting candy!! He tried to walk into several houses like it was his own....well of course, he was KING for the night!!

After trick-or-treating he sucked on many suckers and ate too much chocolate! He stayed up later playing with Aunt Laura, Uncle Zach and Mimi while I relaxed outside with some neighbors and wine!

This past week Jaxton has been giving me many tricks instead of treats though!! I have truly witnessed what the Terrible Two's could be like!! He has thrown a tantrum everyday this week at nap time...not because he wants to get up and play because he doesn't BUT because he wants me to tickle him til he falls asleep which is fine BUT then I either am not tickling him the right way or he wants his feet tickled and then he changes his mind and wants his back tickled and round and round we go! I finally got fed up and said "No more tickling, it's time to close your eyes" and that released a monster! Kicking and screaming forever it seemed! He finally calmed down and passed out! Not sure how to handle this one except to maybe get rid of the tickling totally! But after he wakes up from his nap he acts like nothing ever happened and is in a great mood...crazy!!!!
