I truly can't believe it has ALMOST been a year since I have given birth!! It is truly amazing how fast these little guys grow and how much they change is such a short amount of time...it seems like another lifetime when he was so little...maybe because he was only little for a few days!!!
I have been keeping myself busy with getting his 1st Birthday Party all planned out. I think the UPS driver has been on our door step everyday these past few weeks....BUT I can't shop around like I used to with an 11 month old....so THANK GOODNESS for the Internet!!!
Well I have been waiting to update his blog until we got news back on Grammy and she finally heard from the surgeon night. When he went in and took the mass out there was a slight chance that he might not have gotten it all since it was not a palpable mass....and what would you know....he didn't get it all. There is 1 mm left in her chest muscle tissue which he is sending her case before the "TUMOR BOARD" to determine the best course of action...surgically remove the rest or just radiate it. We will know this decision in....YES you guessed it....ANOTHER WEEK!!! The only GOOD news is that there definitely was no lymph node involvement. So I will update you on her in another week. In the meantime keep the prayers flowing because I KNOW THEY WILL BE ANSWERED!!!
A couple of weekends ago we drove down to where my sister and her husband are in the process of buying a Bay house. I think Jaxton thought we were on a mini vacation when he saw the water...he wanted to go play in it so BAD but he will have to wait until we get all the gear together. It will be sure nice to have a place to go veg out at every now and then!
Jaxton has continued to add more Bobo's to the list....he had his worst one yet when he slipped and caught his chin on my textured wall which scraped the skin off and left a purple green mass still to this day!!! His poor legs and elbows are just covered in bruises....maybe he needs some of my make-up to cover it up so it doesn't look like we beat him!!!
He is totally fascinated with washing machine and will watch it at every chance I give him....thank you front loading washers for entertaining my son....only if you could wash our clothes as good!! Ha!!
Bath time has been much more entertaining....he found his TeeTee and just giggles and smiles so big when he does...he even tries to attempt this during diaper changes now!!!! He also tries to drink from his Boon Flow ( a faucet cover that makes the water come down like a waterfall) until he goes too far forward and ends up getting his whole face drenched.
He babbles ALL DAY long and now when he is tired/sad/or just wants to be held he babbles continuously very quietly with his nose crinkled until you pick him up....it is so sweet!!! So glad he is not a wailer...yet!!
These past few weeks he has really learned the names of some objects and will go get them then when you ask where they are ( puppy, ball, triangle, square, circle are a few). And then he likes to give them to you but we always give them back to him!
I moved him to Level 3 at Gymboree since he has totally mastered crawling and is now standing in place on his own for maybe 20 seconds without holding onto anything. He continues to walk along the couch and from toy to toy and has even started stepping up onto some of his toys. MAYBE he will be walking by his 1st Birthday!!!
Last Wednesday he came down with a fever pf 102.7 very quickly that afternoon so we took him to the after hours clinic to have him checked out. He weighed in at 21 pounds exactly. While waiting I went ahead and gave him his bottle since he didn't want to get dinner because he felt crummy. BUT when the Dr. came in and started to prod him he got SO UPSET he threw it up EVERYWHERE and I mean EVERYWHERE.... and it kept coming!! It was so sad!!! She continued to exam him after he no more to throw up but he was still very upset and he cried so hard that he had little red spots all over his forehead from crying so hard....I think it was blood spots!!! Now I really am nervous about his 1 year check-up with all those shots!!! VERY SAD!! We finally left and got him some medicine and he woke up the next day with those tiny little spots there that took a few days to disappear! Whah!!
On Saturday we threw a party for some friends of ours that are moving away to London and so we ended up having 8 adults and 5 kiddos. Jaxton had so much fun sharing all his toys and playing with all the kids....we had a 5 month old, 9 month old and twin 16 month old BOYS! It was a sight you would of had to seen...8 adults chasing around 5 kiddos all evening long with maybe a chance to take a bit of our Mexican feast or sip of wine!! I think EVERYONE slept good that night!! At least we know our house can entertain that many kiddos at a time!!
Food has still been an issue. He still has this horrible gag reflex with textures BUT he will eat cubed cheese, toast and these crunchies for babies. I finally tried a couple of tiny pieces of macaroni and cheese at Jason's Deli the other day taking a HUGE chance that he would throw up all over at Jason's Deli BUT he didn't at all SO I tried it AGAIN today at Luby's and he did FINE TOO!! I am just going to have to keep introducing textured foods until he gets the hang of it!!
Other than that he is a truly HAPPY baby and just makes us SMILE all day long!!
