We had a very sad week this past week for my Mom and Jaxton's Grammy. She found out after having her annual mammogram that she has breast cancer AGAIN!! I say AGAIN because almost 20 years ago to the day she was diagnosed with breast cancer ... 1989 :( We all just can not believe she has to go through this AGAIN!! We will find out more as time goes on but all we know right now is that it is a Stage 1 -2 tumor ( which means it is trying to grow ). She will have it removed by surgery on August 18th and in the mean time she will be getting more test results back as to what exactly she will have to endure...radiation, chemotherapy or both. So we are just praying in the meantime that she will have to do the least amount of therapy!
Jaxton has continued to get more Bo Bo's from all the crazy crawling he is doing and now he is EASILY pulling himself up to stand and walking around from toy to couch to toy while holding on. He has already mastered climbing up the stairs ( of course I am right behind him) but we are about to install some new gates for our stairs so he will only be able to look at them and dream about doing that all by himself for quite some time BUT we can still practice.
We have finally begun using the word "No No" and shaking our head and finger back and forth ONLY when he tries to pull my drapes down or get into 2 of my plants. BUT he has learned the word already and REPEATS it over and over all day long!! Every now and then we hear Ma Ma and Dada but I think he likes his new word!!
I had 2 baby showers this past Saturday and the one at night time was a couples shower for Ross's best friend Grant so my Mom came to spend some time with Jaxton before she has her surgery and won't be able to pick him up :( We enjoyed the night out !!
On Sunday, Ross's Grandma, MeeMaw had her 89th Birthday and a lot of her family from all over came down to Conroe to celebrate... it was very special for her!

This week I am going to try really hard to cook dinners that Jaxton can eat also ( after they have visited the blender!) He will try some orange roughy coated in crushed Ritz crackers tomorrow...hopefully it will taste just as good smashed up!! He really likes my Cream of Mushroom Chicken dinner so I know I can always use that as back-up!! It should start getting pretty tasty for him!!
