What a week we had BEFORE we left for NOLA!! Ross took off on early Monday morning leaving me with a kiddo with a cold, a dishwasher that decided to leak water all over the floor and a microwave that started to spark and smoke that morning...what else could happen right???...well I ended up getting his cold and he was up several times every night uncomfortable cause he couldn't breathe and my washing machine leaked all over the laundry room floor too!!! HELP...get me outta here!!!

By Friday I was SO READY to get to New Orleans!! Jaxton and I left for the airport in POURING RAIN but got there on time! I was a little nervous flying with Jaxton in my lap hoping he could sit still for an hour!! We got on the plane and THANK GOD it wasn't a full flight because I was able to have an open seat next to us so he could move around! He ended up being PERFECT and just ENTERTAINED all the people around us...no fussing at all!! We read some books and ate some snacks and we were there in no time!

Noreen and her 6 month daughter Hadley picked us up and we headed back to her house to feed the kids then go meet her husband, Travis, and Ross downtown to play around. Come to find out they have been suffering with colds too this week!! The weather ended up getting really bad so we ate some good grub at a cafe and toured the mall then headed over to the New Orleans Aquarium for the rest of the day....Jaxton had a blast seeing all the FISHES and running around like a crazy man!! The BEST part of NOLA is the FOOD there!!! Totally awesome BUT TOTALLY FATTENING!! But we sure did indulge in some good food!!

On Saturday we headed over to a private float festival where you party with the floats that will be in one of the parades for Mardi Gras. It was so neat to see what happens BEHIND the scene of Mardi Gras!! Jaxton met his 1st clown and ended up with a clown nose of his own that he still wants me to put on his nose as of today and walk around so people will look at him!! Too funny!! A band started playing at the festival and Jaxton immediately broke out the Jax Dance!! Way too funny!! He just can't sit still when he hears music!! Then he crashed out in the stroller for the rest of the time!

On Sunday we visited Cafe Du Monde to indulge in the BEST BEIGNETS EVER!!! I could eat those everyday if I could!! Then it was off to the airport to head back home! Fortunately Jaxton fell asleep on my shoulder during the plane flight so it made it an easy flight again!! Poor little gut had only ONE 45 minute nap each day we were there....he was TOO EXCITED to sleep the whole time BUT what STAMINA that kid has!!

Well two things Jaxton likes now...but will get very little of it from time to time...is chocolate and coffee!! He knows where I keep the chocolate candies and says..."MORE" and does his baby sign language sign for more until I finally give him some!! And now when we have our coffee in the morning he begs for a couple "tiny" small sips!! I started drinking coffee when I was in elementary school BUT Ross didn't start drinking it until after college so I guess he got my COFFEE GENE!!!
