Can you actually believe it is 2010???? I thought we would be flying in cars like the Jetsons and FOR SURE have the machine where you sit in the chair and you get a shower, your hair done and make-up on like Jane Jetson!!! BUT life still looks much the same to me except for a few new electronics!! Oh well !

We decided to celebrate 2010 quietly at our house with just the three of us. Although I still decorated the living room and kitchen and put out a nice spread of food. Jaxton enjoyed destroying all the decorations BUT WHO CARED??? I took him outside to see what all the "pops" he was hearing was all about hoping that he would see it and then understand what they were and not wake-up from all the noise....to my surprise he turned his little lip down and very faintly started to cry....POOR LITTLE GUY!! BUT thank goodness he did not wake-up ONE TIME the whole entire night and I couldn't believe it because it sounded like a war zone outside until 2 a.m.

Jaxton and I went to my Mom's Best Friends house, Betty, for her annual New Year's Day party and Jaxton had a blast playing with all the kids....he played dolls, cars, dart guns, football and even played the piano pretty darn good for his 1st time!! Ross left for the Alamo Bowl which I had given to him for his birthday present...so he was gone all weekend and enjoyed seeing Tech win!!

We went for his 15 month check-up today ( even though he is 15 1/2 months) and all was good!

Height: 32 inches (80-85% percentile )

Weight: 22 lbs. 10 oz. ( 25% percentile )
Head: 48.5 cm

All in all he is a tall and skinny boy with a large brain! LOL!!

PLUS he now has 10 teeth...the two bottom molars are just finishing coming through and she said his top gums were starting to swell so those both should come in soon....WHAH...poor little guy can't get a break from all the teeth pain!

2009 ended up being a pretty good year for us in the end. It took some adjustment to being a full time HOMEMAKER but as it turns out I wouldn't have it any other way! My Mom made it through her cancer treatment with flying colors and that is a BLESSING in itself. Ross got a raise which is always GREAT!!! And of course Jaxton is just as perfect as he could be for us!!

So for 2010 I am going to continue to pray for all of our health and that HE will continue to guide us in the right direction. I have a really good feeling about 2010 and I hope my gut instinct is right!
