Happy 9 Months..and Mommy Okay!!

I can't believe our little BABY is 9 months old already....where has the time gone???...definitely not to good night's sleep...BUT it has all been worth it!! What personalities these little human beings have at such a young age...TOTALLY UNBELIEVABLE!! Although he is only crawling BACKWARDS he FINALLY figured out how to sit up all on his own when laying on his belly BUT he wants to practice this so much he will do it for about 15 minutes before all his naps then totally crashes and falls asleep..he is SO PROUD and EXCITED he can do it!! I think this is the biggest smile yet I have seen from him...it lasts for about 15 seconds with his tongue sticking way out!! Everyone says that he will be crawling tonight BUT that has yet to happen!! He can totally pull himself up ( especially in the crib at my Mom's house ) and wants to be in a standing position all the time now! My mom went straight to walking and since he looks like her MAYBE he will do the same!!!

The Dr. said she can see he is about to get 2 MORE TEETH!! Whah...more sleepless nights!! Maybe these won't be so bad!! I can definitely tell when they are about to come in because he drools all of a sudden and eats on his hands like he is starving!! Poor little man!! I wish they would just all come in at once!!

He is still on Prevacid and she said we could try and skip a dose and see what he does so we will try that next week. I have started cooking his food now in tiny dice size pieces BUT the only ones he really likes is the pears...he will GAG on just about everything else...I think I am just going to have to offer it at every meal so he can practice chewing...he just loves his pureed food even when it is kinda chunky BUT whole pieces are very foreign to him!! He has never been much of one to put things in his mouth so I think that is the problem. When I do put it to his mouth after a few times THEN he finally does it himself. I guess I can enjoy the NON-MESSY days a little longer!

So since he turned 9 months he got SO MANY new toys BUT it is so crazy because he figures them out in about three tries!!!! He will dunk the basketball about 10 times in a row and then we are so tired from screaming YEAH so loud that I think we are the ones giving up!! He bats the baseball ( with his hand )!! We showed him twice how to throw a ball and now every time we give him a ball he throws it! Ross is trying so hard to teach him to use both hands so that will make him a great player!! It is truly amazing to see a little human see, touch, feel, smell and taste things for the very 1st time...PRICELESS!!!!

He has learned how to wave bye-bye at everything now and we are working on the clapping. His hair continues to grow thicker and stay strawberry-blonde.

Jaxton talks all the time and pretty much just said Mom, Mom-ma all last week but I think he is going to say Da-Da alot more this week. He sings to himself all the time too...it's so precious!! It sounds like doot...doot...doot...doot.doot!! Since he has two upper and two lower teeth he will grind them together making a horrible sound!! I guess he is just feeling what's new in his mouth!! The BABY toothbrush was not a success for long BUT an ADULT SOFT toothbrush is what we use everyday and then he will suck on it after we are done!

Ross introduced Jaxton to his guitar for the first time and Jaxton strummed it for awhile and even used the pic!! I hope he has that gene in him....I think he does since he loves music so much!!

Jaxton had his 9 month check-up last week and weighed in at exactly 20 POUNDS and was 29 1/4 inches long! Even though he is a whopping 20 lbs that only puts him in the 50th percentile BUT he looks just like a slender muscular little man to me!! She said I should give him a little more formula than I have been...geez....he is going to be 25 pounds when he is a year old then!!

I haven't mentioned it yet but now that I found out I am OKAY I will write about it for Jaxton since he was with me for all the appointments and the days of waiting for the results!! When I got pregnant I found a lump in my breast that same month. My Dr. said it was probably just a gland and not to worry. But since my Mom had breast cancer at 42 it always was in the back of my mind. Well that lump has continued to stay in there but no changes to it I have noticed over the past year and a half. I had to wait till I finished breast feeding and got back on to my birth control to have a mammogram done. She said my body needed to get back to normal as much as it could. SO I went and had a mammogram and ultrasound done because it was still there. Those results came back thinking it was just a complex cyst BUT there was some debris in the middle and they weren't sure what that was so I went in for a biopsy. They were doing another ultrasound and couldn't see any of the fluid they said just 1 week prior but did see a tissue mass so they biopsied that and I got those results back today which were NEGATIVE for cancer!!! I was so BLESSED!!! It was just a mass of fibrous tissue!! BUT I can tell you one thing...when you are lying there on that table and they are taking tons of pictures of a MASS your whole life flashes before your eyes. I couldn't imagine Jaxton not growing up without ME!!!! Or maybe it was ME not growing up with Jaxton!! There is nothing more breathtaking than holding your own flesh and blood in your arms everyday and being able to influence who they become! That's all I want from my life and to have my husband to share that with so we can grow old together and be sipping our wine in our rocking chairs many moons from now and we just have to smile at each other without words to know how lucky we were to be so BLESSED with such a sweet and beautiful boy!!
