Enjoying the outdoors at Discovery Green in the evening
2nd time before a 3rd time with Mom-mie...he LOVED it!
And he squeezed the milk out too!!!
PONY RIDES...one of his favorite past times ( of only 2 years..lol)
Only 2 more weeks until Jaxton has reached his next milestone of 2!! I am sure next year will be just as much fun as this year has!!
We have been busy planning for his birthday but in the meantime we have been having a lot of fun too because we celebrate a birthday the whole month in our family...lol!!
We finally got into a playgroup with my MOMs group and the kids are really sweet...THANK GOODNESS...Jaxton has been doing great playing with other kids toys and not thinking they are his toys anymore...he knows the word SHARE very well.
Jaxton tried out real gymnastics for the 1st time and loved it and keeps talking about it all the time...especially the trampoline...loves to JUMP!
I found a cool place about 15 miles from our house called the Oil Ranch...tons of outdoor activites to do with the kids...it's about to be their busy time but we got lucky and basically had the whole ranch to ourselves that day. He FINALLY got to see REAL COW BOOBIES and the milk even sprayed on his hand...he was a little shocked that something came out so he wanted to wash his hands! So we went off to ride the ponies and he wanted to do that again and agian...maybe Aunt Laura will have a riding friend one day!
We found the cutest set of golf clubs that have real wrapped handles, metal shafts, but thank goodness plastic ends ( driver, putter, iron ) and he hasn't put them down since although he is finding other things to be golfballs...trying to teach him to keep them on the ground too has been a task...but he's gotta learn anyway!
On Labor day we stayed at the Hilton of Americas all weekend and enjoyed ourselves! Jaxton LOVED the HO-tel ( as he kept saying) BUT as we arrived and I was checking us in Jaxton suddenly remembered the bad word...S***...and said it about 100 times as I was at the front desk...luckily for me everyone understood and just laughed and smiled to help me out. Geez! We got settled and headed down to Guadalajara for some good Mexican food. We had a HUGE surprise when Ross reached in the basket to grab more chips and he saw a huge nail lodged right through a chip...NOT FUNNY...but how did that happen!! We immediately told the manager who said he has never seen anything like that in 17 years of his service ....so what did they comp for us???? Our QUESO!!! Ross was a little mad that they didn't do better so they gave us $15 off !!! Longer story...but never the less they ended up sending us a $30 Gift Certificate in the mail! Ross was bound and determined...I just told him NEVER to expect anything!!
We had so much fun the next day! We played down at Discovery Green in the morning and ate lunch watching the sailboats and while Ross watched his RED RAIDERS my Mom met me at the Hotel and we took Jaxton to the Downtown Aquarium to explore! He enjoyed it all and almost fell asleep during the horse & carriage ride...we wore him out!!
And Last but not least, my Mom used to sing me the Lord's Prayer til she was blue in her face when I was a child to get me to sleep and I have sang it to Jaxton since he was a baby too BUT just now has he asked me to sing it ( which I really can't sing...bless his heart)..and he has started to repeat some of the verses...HOW PRECIOUS IS THAT!!!
