My cousin Austin and Ashlyn and Aunt Sha Sha
My cousins Ashlyn and Austin and Grandad
Okay..this one is better...and I am a McCutie!!
Did you say I can have a beer?? Here's my mug...I'm all ready!! Aww...20 1/2 more years???
Yea...much better...just my bear and bib!! Can anyone tell me when the next holiday is?
Okay...I will have the pureed shrimp with the pureed hushpuppies!!
After all the running around and shopping, Jaxton's day of Baptism finally came!! We woke up that morning and did our usual routine and then I got him all dressed up in his Baptism outfit...gosh did he just look extra handsome today!! I even used Aveda hairspray for the first time to tame his wild mohawk hair!! He was so concentrated on everything going on around him during the service and then it was time for us to stand up before the congregation and hand him over to Jim Jackson, the pastor, to Baptize our little precious man...when Jim held him up there he just looked all around and then when he turned towards us to put the holy water on his head Jaxton put on the biggest smile as he looked down at us...what a heart breaker!! He was just perfect up there!! Then I had to take him to the back room with the other little girl that got baptized because they were so excited they just wanted to talk out loud during the rest of the service!! We left the church to head back to our house where everyone came and celebrated in his BIG day and he stayed up the entire time not wanting to miss anything at his party..he was able to meet everyone!! Then we all crashed later that night!! Literally we were all in bed by 8 o'clock!!
So then came St. Patrick's Day on Tuesday and of course you know me and holidays...time for dress-up!!! He is alot more active now so I had to be extra quick with the camera...now I really need to buy that Nikon camera!!
This past week was one of not much sleep for Jaxton and I. He is NO LONGER in his SWADDLE!! He was Houdini too many times getting one or both arms out so I think he was telling me it was time to be FREE!!! Then he decided to start turning over from his back to stomach and when he was done sleeping on his stomach he hasn't quite figured out how to flip back over to his back ( which is actually supposed to be easier) so he cried out of frustration and I had to go in there to flip him back over. Every time I woke up to look at him in the monitor he was somewhere else in his bed!! So hopefully he will figure this out soon so we can go back to both of us getting a good night sleep.
PLUS he is having a growth spurt and just been eating a lot more formula!! I introduced him to carrots this past week and I think they may be his favorite veggie so far...they taste so sweet!! This next week he is going to try butternut squash...yum yum!!
Okay..I have something to confess...on Thursday my friend Noreen came over to have dinner and I helped her register on-line at Babies-R-Us. But before we had a very nice evening Noreen came upstairs while I was getting Jaxton ready for bed and we walked into one of the bedrooms where I had some of Jaxton's baby stuff he no longer uses that I was going to give her. I smelled something bad but tried to just ignore it not knowing what it exactly was then Ross came into the room and said "Oh my God...what is that smell?" A light bulb when off in my head in 5 seconds and I ran into the bathroom that is in that room and flushed the toilet!!! Apparently I had gotten up in the middle of the night a few nights ago and tee teed BUT FORGOT TO FLUSH!!! Ewwwwwwwwwwww!! I laughed about this until I fell asleep and then again when I woke up that morning!!
On Friday we went to meet my dear friend Cheri and her new baby boy Cooper for some shopping and lunch!! What a sweet boy Cooper is and he is already 11 pounds at 10 weeks...he's gonna be a big boy!! They are going to be moving to Dallas since her husband got a promotion...whah I will miss them...BUT it does give us an excuse to get out of Houston later on down the road when Jaxton likes riding in his car seat...YES he still doesn't like it for very long BUT the rate at which he is growing he will be out of it and into the bigger Britax seats which are not as tight and restraining...hopefully!!!
Saturday was Jaxton's first crawfish boil at our neighbor's house...since he is in the grabbing stage we had to be very careful when showing him the crawfish for his first time because he was so ready to grab and play with it!! We found out though that our baby monitor works all the way over in our neighbor's backyard so we were able to go hang out outside after Jaxton went night night and relax in this absolutely beautiful weather we have been having!!
